Air source heat pumps
Designed to a room-by-room heat loss survey, MCS certified, grant claimed by us.
- £7,500 grant off your quote
- Noise assessment at survey
- Talked out of it if the house is not ready
We survey before we quote, size to a heat loss calculation, and tell you when you don't need what you came to ask for. Gas Safe registered and MCS certified, working across Trafford from our own yard in Altrincham.
We fit heat pumps, boilers, underfloor heating and bathrooms across Altrincham, Hale, Hale Barns, Timperley and Sale. Every job starts with a survey and a heat loss calculation, because the size of the kit is a consequence of the house — not of the price list.
How every job starts:
We do a small number of things and we survey before we quote on all of them. Each one is priced fixed and written down.
Designed to a room-by-room heat loss survey, MCS certified, grant claimed by us.
Sized to a heat loss calculation and a measured flow rate — not the van stock.
The lowest flow temperature in the house, and the best thing to pair with a heat pump.
Tanked properly, drained properly, pressure worked out before we start.
Weather compensation does more for your bill than any app ever will.
We find the leak before we open the floor, not after.
No mystery, no surprises. The same four steps on every job.
An engineer comes and measures the house room by room, tests your flow rate at the stopcock, and works out the heat loss. About an hour, no obligation.
Sized to the calculation, not the price list. Every radiator checked, the flow temperature set low, and a fixed written price that lists what is and is not included.
Our own engineers, nothing subbed out. Commissioned, balanced, certificates in your hand, and on a heat pump the £7,500 grant claimed from Ofgem by us.
Most installers will quote you a heat pump off a price list and put a unit on the wall without ever doing a heat loss survey. That works fine until January, when you find out the system was never designed for your house.
We built this around the opposite: survey first, size to the calculation, and an honest answer at the end — including when the honest answer is that your boiler has eight good years left, or your walls need doing before a heat pump earns its keep.
Tom came out and told us our boiler had another five years in it and to spend the money on the loft instead. Not what we expected from someone quoting for a boiler. We had them back for the heat pump two years later.
Terraced house in Sale, tiny back yard, two installers had already told us a heat pump was impossible. Bridgers did the noise calculation on the survey visit and showed us the number. It passed. Running beautifully since March.
Found a leak under our kitchen screed with a camera in about twenty minutes, then lifted one small patch to fix it. The previous quote we had was to take the whole floor up.
Four bathrooms and we had been living with a combi that gave up the second anyone ran a tap. They explained why it could never work rather than selling us a bigger one. New cylinder, completely different house.
They did the whole bathroom in a fortnight and tanked the wet room properly. Two years on, not a mark on the ceiling below. You can tell where the care went.
Turned up when they said, cleaned up every day, and the price at the end was the price on the quote. Rarer than it should be.
We keep the patch small on purpose — it means we know your housing stock before we arrive.
Surveys are free and there is no obligation at the end of one. Fill this in and we will come back the same working day.
